CHOICE

Choice is an act of making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities. From my own personal experiences I've made some bad and some good choices One bad mistake is not taking school more seriously When I first started high school I guess the freedom of being on my own for the first time got to me. One good choice about that is I chose to come to a school that would help me earn credit and finish high school I think this will benefit me in the long run. A high school diploma is a key necessity when trying to find a job.

In this cartoon a man is in a store trying on a suit, the women selling him the suit is saying to the man it accentuates your wallets, to me her saying that to the man she's stating that the choice he has made was a very expensive suit. and that the suit may be a bit out of his price range.

In This Poem A Road Not Taken by Robert Frost the narrator comes across two roads; All though he looked as far as he could both roads had almost the same path one road was gassy and wanted wear and even though they both were equally flourished with leaves one had a path that looked like no one had really gone through In the end he chose to take the road less traveled by and to him that made all the difference.

The short story "DEAD END" by Rudolfo Anaya was about a young girl who desperately wanted to be like one of the girls who went out smoked, drank and hung out at night but her making a decision not to meant all the difference to her she had made a promise to her mom before she died to finish school and make something of her self. In this story maria the main character finds herself almost in love with a young boy named frankie galvin the most toughest kid around school and in his gang "nobody messed with him" they all said. she found herself in his car and as she was hangin out she heard a woman's cry which brought her back to her child hood it was only then that she realized frankie was headed towards a DEAD END in his life and she wanted much more then that. The tyranny of Choice discusses the options of choice making. In this article they discuss two types of choice makers “Maximizers” (those who always aim to make the best possible choice) and “satisficers” (those who aim for “good enough,” whether or not better selections might be out there).
